Vectura Cable Access
The Vectura Cable Access enables telephone services to be offered by CATV operators to users who have not yet installed coaxial cables. The operator thus optimizes its access network, having as telephone customers even those who are not their cable-TV users. The Vectura Cable Access enables the installation of subscribers in cabinets located in condominiums, residential buildings or outdoor environments, such as light poles. Subscribers are connected directly to coaxial cables of CATV (HFC) networks that are affiliates of a CMTS (Cable Modem Termination System). The telephone service is provided by the Vectura SoftSwitch, which can control both the telephone terminals connected to the cable modems and terminals of the Vectura Cable Access units, interconnected to users by pairs of copper wire.
